was one of the first areas of Wheeling to be developed manly because Wheeling
WV was settled along the banks of the Ohio River. Old Town which is
located to the north sits higher then the rest of the city and never got flooded. As a result of this many of Wheeling’s early prominent resident built there mansions in this area. In the early
1970 because so many of the building had over the years survived several destructive urban trends Victorian Old Town
with its unmatched Victorian architecture and history has became one of Wheeling VW true treasures. Today Old Town
